Announcements :

Thanks to everyone who attended the annual Kiddy Carnival this year. We were very successful in our effort to raise money. This money will be used to purchase eye glasses and provide eye examinations for those in our community who are less fortunate. If you know of anyone in the community who need and deserves this service, please pass along the word that the Athens Lions Club might be able to assist them.

We are a service organization and are actively searching for people to join us in helping others.

We will start construction on a building to replace the large tent in the middle of the lot to provide shade and shelter during our events.

We will take the rides down on the 15 th of September and store them for the winter.

Activities :

The Athens Club is actively engaged in helping our community. We help those in the community obtain eye examinations and eye glasses. If you are interested, call 256-262-1983 and leave a message (someone will return your call) We also are a contributor to Camp Seale Harris. This is for children with diabetes. If you have a child with diabtes, and would like for them to attend this camp, please give us a call (256-262-1983) and someone will get in touch with you. This camp is staffed with professional people who can help your child learn to administer medication and learn what foods, etc that are best for them in controlling their sugar levels. Also it is a fun camp where activities are carried out and they get to meet kids with the same problems. Please take advantage of this very worthwhile camp to help your child.
